The following are the certificates that can be obtained through the Malta Kennel Club:
JUNIOR CHAMPION :
To become a Junior Champion a dog needs 3 Junior Champion Certificates. But if the dog is a Junior Champion of another FCI member country then only 2 Jnr.Champion certificates are needed. The application form is found in the Forms page.
To become a Malta Champion a dog needs 4 CACs but If the dog is already a Champion of another FCI member country then only 2 CAC certificates are needed to become a Maltese Champion. The application form is found in the Forms page.
Junior Champion Certificates are not transferable or exchanged for CACs
INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION CERTIFICATES:
To become an International Champion a dog needs to have 4 CACIB certificates awarded by 3 different judges in 3 different countries. Members need to submit the CACIB certificates to apply for this certificate on the form issued by the Malta Kennel Club.
WORKING CLASS CERTIFICATE:
To the Malta Kennel Club, Members should call at the club to collect a certificate which should be sent to the person approved by FCI to do the Working test who shall fill in all details. Sign and stamp the certificate. This certificate shall be sent to the Malta Kennel Club to be signed, stamped and approved.
HIP/ELBOW DYSPLACIA CERTIFICATE:
The following is the procedure required by FCI for The Malta Kennel Club to issue a hip/elbow dysplacia certificate:
A blank certificate must to be picked up from the Malta Kennel Club. The details of the dog should be filled in by the club.This certificate must be duly filled in signed and stamped by the laboratory and person performing and evaluating this/these tests. The result must be in the grading approved by FCI. This certificate is to be forwarded to the Malta Kennel Club to be approved, stamped and signed. Please note that copies of X rays must be forwarded with the certificate for the Club’s records.
